The Old England night will take place on Thursday evening 11th October. The theme is a new one and will be “Pendle Lodge in the Blitz” with plenty of war time rations and good Old England Beer. Tickets are priced at £7.50 and limited in number, so dont miss out on what is promised to be an excellent evening.

Just been down to the Lodge to see how things are, WOW these guys, Kevin, Mark, Glyn and Ian have done a great job setting it up. I cant wait to see the look on peoples faces when they see what has been done. Well done lads and good luck for the rest of the evening.Dont forget Kevin has plenty of 20p pieces for you and if you have none on the night 50p coins will do.

The main business of the evening is of course to present Shane Pearson with his Grand Lodge Certificate. I’m sure we are looking forward to welcoming Shane back into Pendle Lodge once again. Shane now lives near Lakenheath with his partner and new daughter, and consequently is unable to attend on a regular basis. At some stage he will no doubt join a lodge in his home town and then we can all pay his a visit.

That’s tremendous news for the social club volunteers who have organised the evening. I know they wanted to keep numbers to around the 50 mark so that it wasn’t too busy, but I believe they have had to close their books a 55. Sounds like a good night for the ticket holders.

Even more interest in coming to the Old England night from members of Queens Jubilee, after our visit to them at their October meeting. Hope we can fit in a couple more little ones.
