Royal Arch demonstration team seeks members

The East Lancashire Royal Arch Demonstration Team are currently recruiting members, in order to replace those who have retired or passed away, and to increase their capacity to undertake more presentations. Members are put under no pressure to be involved, with every presentation undertaken by only those who are available and able to accommodate the ritual. Whilst members do cover their own dining costs, they are under no obligation to stay for a meal, and there are no subscriptions.

With the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, Sir David Trippier, RD, JP, DL as their President, and all five Assistants to the Provincial Grand Principals as Vice Presidents, they are a reputable Team of many years standing, and with the backing and support of the Province.

The main functions of the Team are to promote the Royal Arch generally; to raise money for Charity, as we request a donation at every event; and to encourage membership of the Royal Arch, for which purpose non Royal Arch Masons are invited to witness their displays whenever possible, even in a Chapter when the presentation would be delivered after closing.

The Team are regulars at large events such as Joint Convocations and Hosted Craft Meetings not only within East Lancashire, but are also gaining some repute in surrounding Provinces.

Their repertoire includes pieces of established ritual, such as their own version of the Exaltation Ceremony, as well as more light-hearted presentations of their own unique work. In all cases, the emphasis is on engagement with the audience through theatrical delivery. They demonstrate in Craft Lodges, Royal Arch Chapters, and even side degrees if asked.

So if you can deliver a piece of ritual with confidence, with the emphasis on the delivery, then we would love to hear from you. As long as you are a Royal Arch Companion you are eligible to join, you do not need to have a Provincial rank. Even if you may only wish to be involved occasionally, that’s fine by us.

Any interested Companions please contact E.Comp Andrew Sinclair, ProvDepGDC at apsinclair@virginmedia.com, or on 0161 285 5744 or 07754 604715.
