The Pendle Lodge Ladies Evening is almost upon us.
The venue for this years evening is the popular “Oaks Hotel” on Colne Road and will be held on Saturday 1st March. Ian & Kath are looking forward to welcoming you to this wonderful venue.
You would be forgiven for thinking that you have arrived at a stately home on approach to this beautiful old building. This imposing hotel was in fact once the private home of a local tea merchant and has retained its original stunning features to give visitors an amazing sense of grandeur and history. Walking into the main hall which is now the reception area, the dark wood panelling and ornate ceilings are breathtaking. As you approach the stairs the main lobby is flooded with light from the 25 ft high stained glass window towering over the original sweeping staircase.
The Oaks Hotel is set in a commanding position overlooking stunning gardens and grounds. With views from the front out towards Pendle Hill, guests can relax outside on the terrace and watch the east Lancashire scenery change before their very eyes.
Both the restaurant and the bar are situated in the old house. Dark wood panelling, ornate ceilings, floor to ceiling windows with glorious views and home cooked food is one of the main features of the menus offering a wide range of locally-sourced produce. Visitors can choose from a hearty selection of traditional favourites or lighter bites all prepared by highly skilled chefs complimented by a large selection of wines from around world.
The Oaks Hotel has hosted Pendle Lodge Ladies Evening on several occasions and on each and every one the event has been a joyous affair. The Hotel has arranged a preferred room rate of £59.00 for a double room including breakfast and a second night for £49.00. To book your room please contact the Hotel directly on Telephone: 01282 41 41 41.
The Ladies Evening cost is £27.00 per head. To secure your seat at this years premier event download the invite and send your cheque to the assistant secretary W.Bro Ian Jackson.
We had a lovely evening, sorry we couldn’t stay up for carriages at 1am, but had to leave at 7am the next morning for another event 140 miles away, great to see everyone, as always Larry & Christine Riches from Lancaster Lodge, looking forward to see many of you in May at the Lancaster Ladies night!

Glad you and Christine had a good time. The evening ended around 4:00 am on the balcony with a few bottles of Jack Daniels. Sunday was a day of recuperation as you can guess. Good to see Damas and Sandra at the Ladies Evening, pity they had to be back for Monday morning.
See you all in Portugal in May.

With two weeks to go, we have just short of 90 attending Ian and Kath’s Ladies night,
Could we top 100, possibly!!

That’s very good support. Thanks to you for the role you have played to date, and the role you will be playing over the next week or so. The seating plan is a logistical wonder, I wish you luck fitting everyone in the right places and with the right people.
Latest bit of news is that The Oaks Hotel will have a chef available for Bacon Butties and Coffee, which is always well received after too much frivolity.
We are really looking forward to it.

Numbers attending the Ladies Evening are on the increase as we approach nearer the event. If you haven’t already booked then Ian Jackson is more than happy to receive your money and choice of menu for the evening, and don’t forget there is a discount if you order your wine in advance of the night. Don’t miss out on a great evening.
