The Crown Green Bowling evening is almost upon us and we could still do with a more bowlers to take on Queens Jubilee, who apparantly have a good team together. Contact Ian Jackson and let him know your coming so that he can arrange some supper for us all. It promises to be a good evening.
W.Bro Ian Jackson, DC of Queens Jubilee Lodge 2193 has arranged another Crown Green Bowling social evening at the Greenhill Bowling Club. They have one of the finest crown green’s in the area and we have secured its use for a friendly game on Wednesday 24th June. The club is situated on Manchester Road in Burnley, and for those of us who are drivers it’s just behind the dreaded speed camera.
There will be a supper of pie and peas along with a raffle and a general good time. Club prices at the bar are very reasonable and they have a great selection of cask ales. Woods and jacks are included and ladies are requested to wear flat sensible shoes to respect the green.
Cost is £5:00 per head and the activities start at 5:00 pm onwards

Pendle Lodge of Freemasons 
It looks like Queens Jubilee lodge have a team together and plan to wipe the floor with Pendle Lodge at the forthcoming Crown Green Bowling event. Now I’m sure that isn’t going to happen by any stretch of the Imagination, but please let Ian Jackson know your coming as he is beginning to panic. Plus he is also a member of Queens Jubilee and we have no idea which team he is batting for.
Don’t forget its next Wednesday on the 24th June. The venue is a good one with great facilities plus its only a £5.00.
