The fully marshalled 10k (6-mile) route will start at 8pm at Burnley Football Club and will be on established well-lit footpaths, and this is where the masonic brethren of Burnley & Pendle District play their part. As you know we have provided marshalls for this and the Midnight Walk event since it started. Your contact to register your intention to volunteer is Roy Langtree on 07810 644 721 or via email. There is always a good turnout from the masons of Pendle Lodge and we always have a good time ensuring the event is safe and enjoyable for the ladies. pendleside girls night outWe expect that the walk will take around 2 hours to complete depending on whether or not you fancy a power walk or prefer a stroll around whilst chatting to friends. The party really starts on your return to Burnley Football Club, when, after we have presented you with your well earned medal and certificate the bar will be open and there will be entertainment and music until midnight. To keep your strength up for boogying the night away you can collect your complimentary pie and peas supper. The event is open to ladies only aged 11 years and over. However, men can join in the fun by volunteering to marshal the route on the night. for more information click here

  2. Several of the guys from Pendle Lodge volunteer each year as marshalls for this event. Its a very pleasant evening and worthwhile ensuring the route is safe and that the ladies who take part stay on course and avoid the traffic. If you fancy taking part just give Roy Langtree a ring or turn up on the evening at the Players Carp Park adjacent the football ground around 7:30 pm.
