The list of initiates at Pendle Lodge is a long one but its been a while since we welcomed one so young and full of enthusiasm to our ranks.
Brother Joshua Ashworth was initiated into Pendle Lodge at the September meeting, along with a full house of Colne masons and several District and Chapter officers. It was great to see the Lodge room full and all of the officers in attendance.

The initiation ceremony is always the most memorable of the three for the candidate, and this performance from Pendle Officers was exemplary. I had a chat with Joshua after the ceremony and he was enthralled with what had taken place and the things he had witnessed. I suggested the passing ceremony to the second degree may be of more interest to him; what with his name and all that.
Our social board in September is more lively and entertaining than most as its the first time the lodge meets after the summer break, so tales of holidays and derring-do are exchanged over wine and toasts. Joshus responded well to his toast and enjoyed his first masonic social board as a new member of the Lodge.

Welcome to Freemasonry Joshua and particularly to Pendle Lodge. You have a lot of fun and interest to look forward too. Take small steps and understand them before moving on.
