Raised at last.

10/02/2022

After what seemed far too long to wait Brother James Kirk was finally raised to the third degree at Pendle Lodges February meeting. The main delay was of course Covid plus the fact we managed to attract three new candidates, and it was decided to initiate them before James’s third.

Young Josh hits the big time.

21/05/2018

Joshua AshworthI know we refer to him as young Josh, but his maturity and self-assurance don’t reflect his age what so ever. Joshua was raised to the third degree with as much pomp and ceremonial as could be mustered by the brethren of Pendle Lodge, and believe me they put on a good show on Continue reading “Young Josh hits the big time.”

Season finale for Bro Jezz Thornton

16/05/2016

jezzthorntonthumbnailThe Third step in Freemasonry is by far the largest and most memorable; with the ceremony of raising being both a spectacular and hair-raising experience. To say there is a lot of work involved in learning ritual and practicing the Continue reading “Season finale for Bro Jezz Thornton”

20/02/2016

Ritchie SmithNormally we have our third degree ceremony in May. It’s the last ceremony prior to the Summer break and is usually a long-winded affair as we include the traditional history and a full closing all the way down from the third degree. Traditional History

16/03/2012

U.G.L.E. stipulates that no Master Mason is entitled to receive his Certificate from Grand Lodge until an explanation of our Traditional History has been delivered to him. Now that’s all well and good if you regularly perform the history at each and every raising ceremony, plus if you have a Continue reading “Traditional History”

Shane makes Master Mason at last

09/09/2011

It’s the norm for a Pendle Lodge mason to take his time to get through to his third degree, but in Shanes case it’s been over three years. His passing took place in 2007 and only now has he managed to achieve his goal of Master Mason. The reason Continue reading “Shane makes Master Mason at last”
